GeekBye Privacy and Local Session Material
Understand local session material, authenticated backend requests, encryption, video files, and privacy controls before sharing sensitive material.
Current behavior
GeekBye can keep screenshots, transcripts, and other session material on your device. Authentication tokens are stored with the platform's secure storage. AI requests are sent through the authenticated GeekBye backend; do not assume that every datum remains local or is deleted immediately.
New account databases and saved non-video assets are encrypted from creation. Videos remain unencrypted. Optional recovery material and telemetry are handled according to their settings and applicable service behavior.
Review your controls before sharing sensitive material
Review saved sessions and local material in the app, choose whether to enable recovery audio, and review the available telemetry controls and current privacy policy. Screen-share visibility also depends on the operating system, meeting app, and sharing mode; use the Detectable control and test the recipient view before relying on it.
