Cancellation Policy

You can cancel a GeekBye subscription yourself, at any time, without emailing anyone. This page explains exactly what happens when you do.

How to cancel

Cancellation is self-service and takes under a minute:

1. Sign in to your GeekBye account on the web.
2. Open the Billing page in your dashboard.
3. Select the cancel option on the free plan card and confirm.
4. You will see a confirmation showing the date your access ends.

When it takes effect

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not cut off your access immediately — your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and then drops to the free plan. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.

No partial-period refunds

We do not prorate or refund the remainder of a billing period on cancellation. If you cancel in the middle of a month or a year, you keep full access to the end of it. Read the refund policy.

Lifetime purchases

A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment, so there is nothing recurring to cancel. It is covered by the refund policy rather than this page.

Changing your mind

If you cancel and then reactivate before the period ends, your subscription simply continues — you are not charged again until the normal renewal date. After the period ends, reactivating starts a new billing cycle.

What happens to your data

Cancelling does not delete your account or your transcripts. Your sessions stay in the app on your device, and your account keeps working on the free plan. If you want your account and server-side data removed entirely, ask us and we will delete it. Read the privacy policy.

If you subscribed somewhere else

If you ever subscribe through a third-party store rather than directly with us, that store owns the billing relationship and you cancel through the store's own subscription settings. Today, subscriptions are billed directly by us.
