Refund Policy

Last updated: 6 August 2026

This page explains, in plain language, how we handle refunds for GeekBye subscriptions and one-time purchases. It sits alongside our Terms of Service — where the two overlap, the Terms are the binding document.

The standard policy: payments are final

GeekBye runs on paid AI processing, transcription, and infrastructure. Those costs are incurred the moment you use the product, so subscription payments and lifetime purchases are final and non-refundable, including for partial use or early cancellation. Cancelling stops future charges — it does not trigger a refund for the period you already paid for.

Try before you pay

The free plan exists so you never have to pay to find out whether GeekBye works for you. It includes screen-share invisibility and real-time assistance with limited AI responses. We strongly recommend running a real session on the free plan before subscribing. See what each plan includes.

Exceptions we always honour

There are cases where we will refund you, and you do not need to argue for them:

  • Duplicate charges — you were billed twice for the same period.
  • Charges taken after you cancelled, where the cancellation was recorded on your account.
  • Charges you did not authorise, for example on a compromised payment method.
  • A confirmed, prolonged outage on our side that made the product unusable for the period you paid for.

Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page removes rights you have under the consumer law of your country. If you live somewhere with a mandatory withdrawal or cooling-off period for digital purchases — for example the EU or the UK — those rights apply regardless of what this policy says, subject to the usual limits for digital content you have already started using. Tell us where you are based when you contact us and we will apply the correct rules.

How to request a review

Email us from the address on the account and include the charge date, the amount, and a one-line description of what happened. We reply to every request, and we aim to do it within five business days. Contact support.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. A chargeback freezes the account while the payment provider investigates, which usually takes longer than simply asking us. We will always look at a case first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes are posted here with a new date, and they apply to purchases made after that date.
